Schlichers Covered Bridge Elevated Autumn View

An elevated Autumn view of Schlicher's Covered Bridge, situated inside North Whitehall Township's scenic Trexler Nature Preserve, offers a picturesque glimpse into the beauty of the season. The red wooden covered bridge continues to stand out prominently against the season’s tones that surround it. Many visitors to the nearby Lehigh Valley Zoo will cross this careworn bridge on their journey to the popular Lehigh Valley attraction throughout the year.

This burr truss covered bridge, which measures 108 feet in length, was originally constructed in 1882. Recognized for its historical significance, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and underwent careful reconstruction in 2014 to increase both its length and width, enhancing its accessibility and appeal.
