A Red Tailed Hawk stands vigil on a high tree branch. This bird was spotted in Allentown's Lehigh Parkway in mid-April. This particular tree had not yet grown any leaves, providing an unobstructed view of the hawk. This image is a great example of being in the right place at the right time. We were taking our typical stroll through the Lehigh Parkway when we noticed a group of hikers staring up at a tree. The bird was so still and stoic, that they had to point it out to me, for I couldn’t even spot it at first.
