Kalmbach Memorial Park - Autumn Kwanzan Cherry Trees

One of Kalmbach Memorial Park's highlights can be found along the back edge of the property line. A grove of Kwanzan Cherry Trees. I've only had the pleasure of visiting this park one time in the Fall, but plan on making a visit in the Spring when these are in full bloom. As you can see, the Autumn view is pretty as well. The trees still hold much of their vivid yellow foliage, even with the ground covered in dark orange leaves. The sunset is setting to the left of the shot, providing some golden light on the trunks of the trees.

What I remember about this shot is that it was exceptionally cold for a September evening in Macungie, Pennsylvania and the air was still damp from rain we received most of the day. Fight against the wind, I took about 40 shots from this spot during moments when the wind would finally die down.
