This scene was shot at the Trexler Nature Preserve on a late June evening as the sun was setting out of frame. Misty and humid conditions put a haze in the air, creating beautiful golden volumes of light in the air. A goldfinch took to one of the nearby rows of milk thistle for some dinner. He stayed there for a while allowing me to take many photos as he enjoyed his meal.
